The UR6 spark plug is part of the petrol engine's ignition system: its mission is to generate the electric spark that ignites the air-fuel mixture inside the cylinder at the precise moment of the combustion cycle. It acts as the last link between the ignition coil and the combustion chamber, so its condition directly affects the energy efficiency and response of the engine. In nautical applications, where the engine works with sustained loads and in environments of high humidity and vibration, a spark plug in poor condition can cause progressive power losses, increased fuel consumption or failed starts.
