Description
Function and technical context
This gasket kit provides the sealing elements necessary to maintain tightness in the internal circuits of 4-stroke outboard engines. The gaskets work at the critical closing points between components of the engine block, crankcase, cylinder head and associated systems, preventing leaks of lubricating oil and coolant that would compromise the operation of the engine. The degradation of these gaskets due to aging, cyclic temperature or compression cycles weakens the seal, allowing fluid leaks that directly affect the lubrication pressure and the internal cooling capacity of the engine.
When to replace this part?
Engine gaskets show obvious oil leaks around the cylinder head, valve cover or crankcase, especially after dismantling or repairing internal engine components.
