The Volvo 873395 aluminum anode is a cathodic protection component designed specifically for the transom of Volvo Penta outboard motors and sterndrives. This anode prevents galvanic corrosion in submerged areas through electrochemical sacrifice of aluminum, protecting stainless steel structures and other sensitive components of the marine propulsion system.
