Volvo Anode 3584442 TEN00728BIS for Sail Drive
The Volvo 3584442 sacrificial anode is a cathodic protection component designed specifically for Sail Drive systems with 3- and 4-blade folding propellers. With an outer diameter of 97.5 mm, this anode is installed in the Sail Drive structure to protect submerged metal parts against galvanic corrosion in saline environments.
Its main function is to act as an electrochemical protection barrier, preferentially sacrificing itself against the nobler metals of the marine propellant, significantly prolonging the useful life of the critical components of the propulsion system.
