Function and technical context

This high pressure fuel pump is part of the direct injection system of Suzuki four-stroke outboard engines, where its mission is to supply fuel from the tank to the injector rail at the necessary pressure to guarantee correct atomization and efficient combustion. It works in the primary supply circuit, being the element that maintains constant pressure throughout the injection circuit; Any drop in performance translates directly into misfiring, loss of power or irregular engine operation. A pump in poor condition can cause secondary damage to the injectors by not receiving the adequate flow or pressure, which makes this component a critical element within the fuel management system.
