Function and technical context

This brass 90° elbow fitting allows for direction changes in small diameter onboard pipe installations, connecting 1/4" and 3/8" conduit lengths at a right angle without the need to bend the pipe. It is commonly used in water cooling systems, fuel circuits, vacuum lines and other fluid passages in recreational boats and outboard or inboard engines. The brass alloy offers superior resistance to marine corrosion compared to iron or carbon steel, ensuring long-lasting tightness in humid and saline environments.
