Function and technical context

Star Tron is an enzymatic petrol additive designed specifically to address problems arising from the use of ethanol fuels (E10, E15 and higher), which are especially common in marine engines, outboards and pleasure boats that remain moored for long periods. It acts on the fuel supply system by dispersing the water present in the tank into submicron-sized droplets, which prevents phase separation—one of the main causes of starting failures and deterioration of carburetors and injectors in nautical engines. Additionally, it stabilizes stored fuel for up to two years, regenerating aged petrol and keeping the fuel system free of gummy deposits and varnish. Its enzymatic formula is effective in both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, carbureted and injected, as well as in generators, jet skis and any equipment with a petrol engine.

When to use this additive?

Symptoms that indicate that the fuel has degraded or that the ethanol is causing problems include: difficulty or inability to start after a period of inactivity, irregular operation or jerky acceleration, carburetor clogged by gummy deposits, and visible water at the bottom of the tank or in the water separator. It is recommended to add Star Tron at each fill-up as a preventive treatment, and especially before storing the boat at the end of the season, to protect the fuel system during the winter period. Incorporating this additive routinely avoids costly interventions in the carburetor or injection system, and guarantees reliable starting at the beginning of each nautical season.
