The cylinder head O-ring is a critical sealing seal that ensures tightness between the cylinder head and engine block in Mercury, Mariner and MerCruiser engine cooling systems. This component prevents coolant leaks and water entry into the combustion chambers, protecting the integrity of the cylinders. Their deterioration or wear directly compromises the sealing capacity, which can cause coolant leaks, engine overheating and, in severe cases, hydro-shock or internal corrosion of vital parts.

When to replace this part?
