Function and technical context

Its medium granulometry allows it to act effectively on moderate deposits without excessively damaging the surface finishes, which makes it the ideal utensil both for periodic maintenance work and for surface preparation before applying antifouling paint or protective treatments. A brush in poor condition or inappropriate for the type of dirt slows down beaching operations and can compromise the correct adhesion of the protective products applied afterwards, increasing the risk of premature deterioration of the hull.

When to replace this part?

Nautical cleaning brushes should be inspected at the beginning of each season and replaced when the bristles show permanent deformation, loss of rigidity or irregular wear, since in this state they lose abrasive capacity and carry dirt poorly.
