Function and technical context

This 45º female/female elbow in AISI 316 stainless steel is used in shipboard piping installations to change the direction of the fluid with a gentle angle, reducing turbulence and pressure losses compared to a 90º elbow. Its application covers seawater cooling systems, wet exhaust circuits, nautical sanitary installations and hydraulic pipes in recreational and work boats. AISI 316 stainless steel, with its high molybdenum content, offers much higher resistance to marine corrosion than conventional 304 stainless steel, being the professional choice for environments permanently exposed to salt water and saline environments.
