The CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) unit is the central component of the ignition system on Yamaha two-stroke outboard engines. This module manages the generation and discharge of the spark on the spark plug through the controlled storage of electrical energy, guaranteeing precise ignition in each engine cycle. Located in the upper area of ​​the engine casing, it works in close coordination with the stator, the magnetic flywheel rotor and the spark plug to ensure that combustion occurs at the exact moment of the compression cycle.
