Description

Zinc anodes are an essential cathodic protection system for Volvo Penta marine engines equipped with DUO PROP propulsion. This kit provides the electrochemical protection necessary to prevent galvanic corrosion on submerged components, significantly extending the life of the propulsion system and reducing corrective maintenance.

Zinc acts as a sacrificial metal, preferentially ionizing in the presence of salt water and noble metallic components of the engine, creating a protective barrier that prevents accelerated oxidation of critical alloys in the cooling and transmission system.
