Description

The rotor is the rotating component of the ignition distributor responsible for channeling high voltage from the coil to the engine cylinders through the spark plug wires. In Mercruiser, Volvo Penta and OMC marine engines, it guarantees the synchronized distribution of the electrical impulse necessary for ignition in each cylinder, with special relevance in large displacement engines such as V6 and V8.

This Prestolite rotor part number 392-9089 is compatible with a wide range of marine propulsion engines, including high-performance Mercruiser units, Volvo Penta injection and carburetor series propellers, as well as OMC/Johnson/Evinrude engines for recreational and professional boat applications.
