The 37850-93J10 trim switch is the electrical control element that allows the pilot to raise or lower the trim angle of the outboard motor from the helm or the control panel, acting directly on the hydraulic tilt system. It works within the electrical circuit that controls the trim and tilt, sending the signal that activates the hydraulic pump responsible for adjusting the position of the engine with respect to the transom. A defective switch prevents the angle of attack of the propeller from being adjusted, which results in loss of navigation performance, increased fuel consumption and difficulty in adapting the boat to different sea conditions and load.
